Today, we celebrate the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)—a civil rights law that transformed the landscape of accessibility, equity, and opportunity in the United States.

Since 1990, the ADA has protected the rights of over 61 million Americans with disabilities, fighting discrimination and removing barriers in employment, education, transportation, and everyday life.

But the ADA didn’t happen overnight. It was made possible by generations of activists, including those who staged the powerful Capitol Crawl—a moment that challenged America to recognize that disability rights are civil rights.

At PAPA, we honor the legacy of the ADA by continuing to advocate for inclusive rehabilitation medicine and accessible healthcare systems. Let’s keep the momentum going—not just today, but every day.
